Dr. Dino Mantis

Dr. Mantis has extensive experience performing various procedures in the fields of restorative dentistry, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. Serving the Evanston, Wilmette, and North Shore area, Dr. Mantis offers a holistic approach to dental care, taking into account the health of each patient’s teeth and gums as well as the jaw joints and facial muscles.

Dr. Mantis has been in private practice of general and cosmetic dentistry in the Wilmette area since graduating from Loyola Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1987. He is passionate about dental health and maintains his knowledge of cutting edge practices through his commitment to continuing education. Recently, Dr. Mantis successfully held a seminar in Greece on predictable dentistry. He considers continued education an integral part of building a comprehensive North Shore area restorative and cosmetic dentistry practice for his patients. In fact, he believes educating his patients about their dental health is very important. Through mutual understanding of the patient's healthcare goals, the doctor and patient can easily form a partnership to attain optimal success.

Dr. Mantis has received advanced training from some of the top names in the field of dentistry. He has graduated from courses led by:

Dr. Mantis is a prominent figure in cosmetic dentistry and comprehensive dental care in the North Shore area of Illinois. Dr. Mantis is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Equilibration Society, and the Academy of G.P. Orthodontics.

Our practice does not diagnose, render treatment, or establish fees according to any insurance tables or allowances. Our fees are based on operating costs and the judgment of our skilled dental professionals.

We believe that dental insurance can benefit many of our patients undergoing restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Our Wilmette and Evanston area office will ensure each patient receives the financial assistance to which he or she is entitled.

Most importantly, we work for you, not your insurance company. You will always make the ultimate decision as to what will be done and how fast we proceed.

Based on your decision, we will discuss the total cost of your general or cosmetic dentistry treatment, and what assistance you could expect from your dental insurance. As a courtesy to our patients, we do accept assignment from most insurance companies.

Financial Consideration

When we pay for a service or product, we expect our purchase to be commensurate to the cost. When another party picks up the bill, we sometimes lose sight of the quality of our purchase.

To some extent, the latter situation is where dentistry is headed in our country. Operating on an insurance-driven or managed-care system, a third party is often involved in deciding what type of dental care is required.
